Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, ‘believes’ striker, Harry Kane will be fit for this weekend’s North London derby against Arsenal.
Mourinho initially said Kane was a doubt for Sunday’s clash, while refusing to discuss the nature of his injury.
The England captain – who has enjoyed a superb start to the season, scoring eight goals and making 11 assists – missed Spurs’ 3-3 draw against LASK in the Europa League on Thursday.
But Mourinho said after the game, that he expects Kane to be fit for this weekend’s derby.
When asked for an update on Kane’s fitness, he said:
“I believe Harry is going to be fit. I’m not sure.
“He’s having treatment but I could be doing some bluff and pretend he’s in trouble, but he’s not and I think he’ll play [against Arsenal].”
Tottenham are top of the league, while the Gunners are in 14th place.
